TO BE DETERMINED

Preaching is an all-consuming life work. As such, how can a hardworking pastor seek
to strengthen his preaching skills once he is engaged in its weekly demands? What can
he do to give careful reflection to his own effectiveness? From whom can he glean
objective encouragement and critique that will prove useful to his preaching ministry?
To address these needs, Western Seminary presents The Spurgeon Fellowship
Preaching Practicum, a coaching clinic for pastors whose ministry responsibilities
include preaching. It is a two-and-a-half day intensive, limited to eight men, in which
a pastor’s preaching skills are evaluated, encouraged, and enhanced.

“The Preaching Practicum is a wonderful opportunity not only to sharpen your homiletic skills, but to enjoy challenging Biblical instruction on the ultimate hermeneutic; Jesus Christ and him crucified. In addition to these practical ministry benefits, you will experience sweet fellowship with fellow ministers of the gospel and be encouraged to keep fighting the good fight. The Preaching Practicum will surely be used of God as a catalyst to transform the preaching ministry of you – the local pastor – which we pray will in turn be used of the Spirit to cause reformation and revival in the Pacific North West.”
